Stallions Australasia Pty Ltd., founded in 2013 by Peter O’Rourke and David Shammall – names synonymous with quality and success in the Harness Racing industry – are specialists in importing the frozen semen of elite Northern hemisphere-based Standardbred stallions to the Australian and New Zealand market.
We provide access for our clients to the frozen semen of trotting and pacing stallions from North America and Europe from a central storage base and distribute the semen to farms, veterinarians and individual breeders through our agents in Australia and New Zealand.
Our directors have a wealth of experience in managing stallions and in the handling of frozen semen, working with most of the major stud farms in the business. This gives us the opportunity to source the best stallions available.
We strongly market and promote our stallions using people who are familiar with the industry, keeping our clientele up-to-date with the latest breeding information.

Tactical Landing colt’s record-breaking Mohawk Million win

The TACTICAL LANDING two-year-old colt Wrong Sounds Right set a fresh stakes and track record and equalled the world record in the Grade 1 Mohawk Million at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Ontario on Saturday night (September 26).
Wrong Sounds Right settled down in third position before making his winning move soon after the half-way mark. After sitting parked briefly, the colt marched to the top at the three-quarter pole and proceeded to blitz his rivals, scoring by three lengths.
The time for the mile was a blistering 1:51.2 – 0.6 inside the previous stakes record.
It was also a new lifetime mark for Wrong Sounds Right, shaving 0.6 off his then career-best in the $250,000 New Jersey Classic at The Meadowlands on September 11.
Out of a mare by Broadway Hall, the colt has won five races and been once placed from seven starts.

Tactical Landing 2YO colt

The TACTICAL LANDING two-year-old colt Wrong Sounds Right equalled the track record with a 1:51.8 victory in the $250,000 New Jersey Classic at The Meadowlands on Friday night (September 11).
After leading early then handing up, the colt exploded away from his rivals in the home stretch to score by an ever increasing 3-1/2 lengths.
It was his fourth success from six starts for $231,250 in stakes.
On the same night in New Zealand, the TACTICAL LANDING two-year-old gelding Tactico won a prelude of the NZ Sires’ Stakes at Auckland.
The gelding led from the start, had a brief miscue in the first lap and recovered to regain the top. He was never again headed.
Tactico is out of the grand producer Love Ya Doosie (by Love You).

Victoriana’s Secret victorious
at Kentucky

The bonny TACTICAL LANDING three-year-old filly Victoriana’s Secret led for the last half-mile and stayed off all challengers to capture the $80,000 fourth preliminary of the Kentucky Championship Series at The Red Mile on Wednesday (September 9).
She scored by a half length in 1:50.4.
Victoriana’s Secret has won eight of her 10 starts this season and nine out of 18 lifetime for earnings of $450,531. She is the second richest and the fastest for her age, gait and sex this year with $369,931 and a mark of 1:50.

Tactical Landing colt tops French yearling sale

A TACTICAL LANDING half-brother to the dual Prix d’Amerique winner Bold Eagle fetched the top price of 500,000 euros on the opening day of the Arqana Trotting Sale in Deauville, France on Wednesday (September 2).
The colt was bought by the prominent Swedish owner Courant Stable, who secured the winning bid after a fierce bidding war for the Danish-registered youngster.
As a Danish-registered horse, Opera Royal has limited racing opportunities as a youngster in France. The plan is to ship him to North America, where he will be trained by Marcus Melander.

TACTICAL LANDING left three important Stakes winners in North America in the space of 24 hours!
Champion three-year-old filly Victoriana’s Secret powered past her rivals to win the Grade 1 $250,000 Delmonica Hanover Stake at Pocono Downs, Pennsylvania on Saturday (August 22) in a race and track record equalling time of 1:51.4.
The winner of five of her last six starts including a 1:50 effort at The Red Mile, Victoriana’s Secret has improved her stake earnings to $410,531.
On the same card the TACTICAL LANDING filly Isabella Bi scored a hard fought win in the $125,000 Delmonica Hanover Consolation in 1:51.8.
The previous night, Wrong Sounds Right, a two-year-old colt by TACTICAL LANDING, produced a brilliant come-from-behind performance to capture the featured $80,000 Garden State at The Meadowlands.
The colt won by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:53.2. He has now won three of his five starts for $111,250.
TACTICAL LANDING’s progeny has earned $3.2 million in America this year.

Victoriana’s Secret in 1:50
The brilliant TACTICAL LANDING three-year-old filly Victoriana’s Secret missed the world record by one-fifth of a second when she won an $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series preliminary at The Red Mile on Sunday (August 9).
Her 1:50 clocking was the fastest put up by one her age, gait and sex in North America this year.
After leading briefly in the early part, Victoriana’s Secret settled in the box-seat trail before launching her winning bid in the home stretch, scoring by three-quarters of a length.
The filly has won six of her eight starts this season and seven from 16 starts in her career, putting her bankroll at $393,843.

Allegiant sets records in Sweden

The world’s fastest ever trotter Allegiant (by TACTICAL LANDING) smashed another track and race record in winning the Group 1 $160,000 Hugo Abergs Memorial at a 1:49.4 rate at Jagersro, Sweden on Sunday (July 26).
The five-year-old mare led from the outset and scored by seven lengths.
It was her second start and second win since capturing the Elitlopp on May 31.
